Today’s Healthy Dose – A Great Role Model

My mother, now officially in her 70’s, after raising two children and a husband, caring for an assortment of pets, volunteering in her community, beating cancer, and giving an endless amount of support to friends, family, and those in need (both human and not), is the most compassionate and caring woman I know. She also walks, does tai chi, plays bocci ball, reads food labels and can out-shop me on any given day.

Pronunciation: ‘Kom-bu-cha’ 😏

Oxford Definition:  A beverage produced by fermenting sweet tea with a culture of yeast and bacteria.

Lane’s Definition:  A light, sparkling beverage that fuels my day, provides probiotics and antioxidants, cleanses my body, and eliminates my craving for soda.  Take that Oxford!

1/4 tsp baking soda in 1/4 cup of water.  Stir until the baking soda dissolves then drink it down in one shot. Give it a few minutes…..  there, good as new!
