Today’s Healthy Dose – Makin’ Bacon

Enough with the bacon bashing! Naturally cured bacon without any of those nasty “…trates” or “…fites” is super high in Omega 3’s, healthy protein, the full range of B vitamins, and several essential minerals. As an added bonus, bacon has that aroma and taste that make you feel…well, satisfied (some might say blissful), like you’ve eaten something truly yummy. Oh, wait. You have!

    Just visited Greenville, SC farmer’s market last Saturday morning, and bought some sausage from a local farmer there….pasture raised, no hormones, no antibiotics, no fillers, no nothing, but GOODNESS…as it should be, right? Can’t eat any of the “prepackaged” stuff that is sold in the grocery stores, so looking forward to trying this…YUMMY!!

      Sorry it took me so long to reply! I was…well…on a blogging sabbatical (for lack of a better term). But I completely agree. I love farmer’s markets, and that sounds incredibly yummy! Sausage done right. Thanks for following my rants and raves, and keep eating whole!!!!!
